The EPDM smooth rubber sheet roll we introduce is flame-retardant, not only for the manufacture of seals and rubber parts, but also for rail traffic safety. The price of this rubber material will not be very cheap, but the overall performance will be much higher than that of ordinary rubber. This special fireproof material is specially compounded - flame retardant additives are added to it, and it is vulcanized to make it fireproof.
The addition of flame retardant ingredients such as antimony trioxide and decabromodiphenyl is widely used to provide effective fire resistance.
It is best to start with a material that is inherently halogen-free, which gives EPDM material good flame retardancy, but also needs to be mixed with a barrier to meet stringent fire standards.
Vulcanized EPDM smooth rubber sheet is a high-quality synthetic rubber with excellent ozone resistance, anti-aging properties, which makes peroxide-cured EPDM sheet suitable for outdoor applications with long-term exposure to weathering and UV light.
