As a seasoned rubber sheet manufacturer with 23 years of experience, we are pleased to share with you the intricacies of producing vulcanized rubber sheet, from raw material production to final export transportation.
The first step in producing vulcanised rubber sheet is the selection of high-quality raw materials. We ensure that our suppliers provide us with top-quality materials, including SBR, NBR, Neoprene, NR, EPDM, FKM rubebr base material and some other rubber excipients. These raw material factories and rubber materials are carefully selected and inspected to ensure they meet our strict quality standards.
Next, the raw materials are mixed together with other additives and ingredients, such as accelerators, activators, and fillers. This mixing process is carefully controlled to ensure that the resulting compound has the desired properties and characteristics, such as strength, durability, and resistance to chemicals and weather.
Once the compound is ready, it is processed into sheets of the desired thickness and size. This is done using various methods, including calendering, extrusion, and compression molding, depending on the specifications of the rubber sheets being produced. We generally produce regular vulcanised rubber sheet (as you can see in the picture below) with a thickness between 1~15mm, which is just the premise that it can be rolled up for use and transportation. If it exceeds 15mm, such as 20mm, we will directly produce rubber plate and rubber block, it will not be produced by drum vulcanization machine, because it is only suitable for the production of rolls; the hardness is generally between 35~80 Shore A.
The next step is vulcanization, which is the process of curing the rubber sheets to improve their strength and durability. The sheets are placed in a vulcanizing press and heated to a specific temperature and pressure for a specific amount of time. This process chemically bonds the rubber molecules together, creating a stronger and more durable material.
In the process of vulcanization, we mentioned the vulcanization machine we mentioned above. Depending on the thickness, different machines will be used to produce rubber sheets, as shown in the following figure:
After vulcanization, the rubber sheets are inspected and tested to ensure they meet our strict quality standards. We check for defects, such as air bubbles, uneven thickness, and discoloration, and perform a range of tests to check for properties such as tensile strength, elongation, and resistance to abrasion and chemicals.
Finally, the rubber sheets are packed and prepared for export transportation. We use high-quality packaging materials to protect the sheets during transport, including wrap a thick film and wooden pallets. We also ensure that the sheets are properly labeled and documented, including the type of rubber sheet, the size, and the quantity, or add tags according to your requirements
In conclusion, producing vulcanized rubber sheet requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail. As a seasoned rubber sheet manufacturer, we pride ourselves on using only the highest quality raw materials and employing the most advanced production techniques to produce rubber sheets that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. From production to final export transportation, we take every step necessary to ensure that our customers receive the best possible product.
